| Cletus is a goregous purebred American Bulldog. Three years old and sixty five pounds, he is a big boy with an even bigger heart. He is also mellow and soooo relaxed. It is amazing considering what he has been through, and what he endured to get here.
Cletus came from a high kill shelter in Texas. He was scheduled for transport to Bark Ark on Saturday morning, and would stay at a boarding facility in Texas from Thursday until he was picked up by the transport on Saturday.
Thursday night, members of a dog fighting ring broke into the facility and stole Cletus. It is a miracle that someone figured out what had happened to him and actually STOLE him back from them on Friday! No one knows for sure what Cletus went through on that night, but on Friday morning, his face was covered with cuts and gashes. When he arrived safely at Bark Ark, he looked like he had been through a war. And maybe he had.
In spite of this terrifying experience, Cletus remains the most loving, gentle, mellow soul you could ever hope to find. He is WONDERFUL with every dog he meets. You just won't believe the sweet spirit in this fellow! Cletus is looking for a big couch and a loving family, a place where he can be safe and loved forever. Won't you give this Texas boy a chance?

| Daisy Mae is a gorgeous pit bull puppy, another one of the lucky pits who had a guardian angel. A Kentucky school bus driver was going along a narrow country road (only wide enough for the bus) and saw something in the road. She stopped the bus to avoid hitting it, and saw that it was a tiny puppy. She sent one of her students out to pick it up and bring it back to the bus. The puppy was starved, too weak to move on it's own. It was almost black, it was covered with so many fleas. The wonderful bus driver took Daisy home, got rid of her fleas, fed her until she was healthy and got her all her shots. If the family didn't already have five dogs of their own, they would have kept Daisy, they loved her so much.
Daisy is sweet, funny and a ball of energy. She is full of personality, confidence and joy. She needs and deserves someone to love her forever.

| This beautiful boy is Chewey, a big blue pittie with an even bigger heart.
Chewey was at a shelter and about to be euthanized. You see, everyone at the shelter thought Chewey was a fighting dog because he looked like he was covered with scars, and because he might have been a fighting dog, he should be euthanized. ( Guess that shelter never heard about the Vicktory dogs!)
Anyway, the shelter reluctantly agreed to let us have him. And so Chewey came to Bark Ark.
Chewey was covered with scars, and he was also covered with fleas. Chewey might have been through many things in his life, but one thing we knew for sure - he was a neglected boy with a bad rap.
We were happy but not surprised to find out that Chewey's heart was as big as his body. He is a happy, joyful, loving BABY in an adult body. We have absolutely fallen in love with this big guy, and will make sure that he only goes to the most special of homes. Because of everything that he has been through, we will only consider a home where he would be the only dog, and a home with an owner with a lot of bully experience. Of all the dogs we have met, Chewey has touched our hearts the most.

| When we met Willow, all we could say is....wow!
Willow is a two year old pittie girl from a high kill shelter in New Jersey. She is a beautiful blue girl. She is also what we call a "pocket pittie" - one of those tiny little dogs that look like miniatures. She only weighs thirty pounds!
Willow's story is a sad one, although we don't know all the details. Willow was abandoned by her family. They moved away, and left her all alone in the empty house. As you can imagine, Willow is confused, bewildered and not just a little frightened. She is so afraid she is going to be left again. In spite of her fear, she is a sweetheart. Although she is tentative in the beginning, she soon warms up to you, and wants to stay in your lap. Since she is so small, she just fits there!
Willow is our second girl from this shelter, another Jersey girl looking for love. If you are interested in this little lady, make sure you are going to make a life long commitment. She has already lost one family.
